Description

Comprehensive training syllabus for Sport Pilot applicants, Sport Pilot CFI applicants, and Instructors who fly powered parachute light sport aircraft.

Course Objective
The objective of this syllabus is for the student to gain the necessary aeronautical skill, knowledge and experience to meet the requirements of a Sport Pilot Certificate with a log book endorsement in a Powered Parachute.

Sport Pilot Certification Course
The Sport Pilot Certificate has 2 requirements: Aeronautical Skill and Aeronautical Knowledge. This syllabus is written to satisfy both requirements. The syllabus is presented in four Stages.

Sport Pilot CFI Certificate Course

Includes lesson plans for Sport Pilot CFI training.

Lesson Plan and Testing Procedures

Each module contains homework associated with the ground lessons and flight lessons. The instructor goes through the lesson plans and checks off the specific items the student must accomplish before moving on to the next lesson.

The syllabus references the Materials above and when to use the materials throughout the Training course. Instructors using this syllabus must ensure current Practical Test Standards are upheld. The training syllabus contains three question banks from which written exams can be compiled at the end of each stage of training. The exams test the student on both ground and flight training material covered in each stage. This exam must be passed with a minimum score of 70%, and reconciled to 100%, in order to proceed to the next stage.

It is essential the completion standards of each flight lesson be completed before the next flight lesson.

The Western Powered Parachute Association has begun to use your study materials in our classes, forums and for distribution to our pilots in the Pacific Northwest. We have received consistently praiseworthy feedback about the materials, and I can't seem to keep enough in stock to keep up with demand. Your efforts are really help ease the tension involved in our regional transition to the sport pilot environment. Keep up the great work. Sincerely, Doug Maas, President, WPPA, LLC www.westernppa.org
